SWMMBA Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in giving back to your community. SWMMBA members together volunteer more than 2,000 hours to their local communities each year. Without your interest in volunteering and willingness to support the trails you love, we would not have as vibrant of a trails community.

Below, you’ll find info on how to register to volunteer with us. SWMMBA requires all volunteers to have signed a waiver and registered to volunteer. Individuals who have not signed the waiver or registered to volunteer are not counted towards our advocacy efforts, and are not considered for special volunteer events.

  1. Register

By signing our waiver and providing your contact info, we can begin offering you volunteer opportunities on your local trails.

You only need to sign the waiver once, we will keep track of your info from then on out.

2. Find a
Volunteer Job

Once you’ve signed the waiver above, you are eligible to sign up for volunteer opportunities with SWMMBA and our Chapters. All available volunteer opportunities will be listed on the Job Listing and Job Calendar pages. Feel free to look around and find a job that works best for your schedule and skills.

Once you’ve registered for a volunteer job, be sure to check your email for any updates to your shift. The volunteer coordinator will reach out via the email you registered with, and update you on meeting location, things to bring, and a variety of other details. Be sure to check in when you arrive to your shift so we record your volunteering.

3. Keep Track

You’ll be able to check and see how much you’ve volunteered with SWMMBA by checking your Volunteer Personal Site. This page offers insights into how often you’ve volunteered this year, and how many hours you’ve given back to the community.
