Trailhead: CHESTNUT

Join SWMMBA's Bozeman chapter, The Dirt Concern, for a no-drop costume group ride on "Goosenut". This ride will begin at the Goose Creek Trailhead and travel up Chestnut Mountain trail, and end at the Chestnut Mountain Trailhead.

THE COSTUMES!
This is a costume ride, and the theme is red, white and blue! But any costume (or no costume at all) is totally acceptable for this ride. The spirit of this ride is fun, so dress up your spirit in whatever way suits you. 

THE ROUTE:
This is a shuttle ride. We will set a shuttle from Chestnut Mountain trailhead to Goose Creek Trailhead, so that there are vehicles at the end of the ride to take drivers back to their cars at Goose. The details of this will be sorted out at the Chestnut Creek trail head once we have the group assembled. 

THE RIDE: 
This is a really fun ride with an ultra classic SW Montana summit offering 360 views of Paradise Valley, the Absarokas, Gallatins, Bridgers and Bangtails and the Crazy mountain ranges. This one is definitely worth the climb. And the decent isn't too shabby either. 

THE NECESSITIES:
Bring bear spray, helmet and water, please plan to carry extra water and snacks/food for the ride. 

Meeting location: Chestnut Creek Trailhead
Shuttle: we will meet at Goose and determine shuttle logistics from there once the group is assembled
Ride time: ~3 hrs
Distance: ~10ish miles 
Vertical ~1,600 feet
