Trailhead: Stone Creek

Join SWMMBA's Bozeman chapter, The Dirt Concern, for a no-drop group ride at Stone Creek. This is a fantastic out and back segment of the ultra classic IMBA Epic Bang Tail Divide trail. If you've never ridden the Bang Tail Divide, this will give you a great taste of what to expect. And if you have, you know that this is a super fun after work spin!

This time of year, whether can be all over the map, so be prepared with an extra layer. Bringing snacks and water are a good idea, and helmets are required. This is a very popular trail, so we highly recommend carpooling if possible.

Start Location: Stone Creek Trailhead
Ride time: ~ 2 hrs
Distance: ~5ish miles (2.5 miles out + 2.5 miles back)
Vertical ~1,500 feet
Note - the link to Trailforks shows the Stone Creek section of the Bangtail Divide, and isn't the best indication for what to expect on this ride. For this group ride, the plan will be to ride up the trail for an hour, and turn around from that point to make our way back to the trailhead.
So you can expect to ride about 5 miles round trip, and about 1500 feet of climbing.
