Thank You Esker

On behalf of our organizations, we want to thank Esker Cycles for sponsoring this fundraiser. Beyond just a bike company, Esker is a group of riders and like-minded individuals that aim to think differently and encourage a broader, more inclusive cycling community. They exist to influence the future of cycling in a positive manner—not just in the bikes that we ride, but in the way that we think about our sport and our community. This fundraiser wouldn’t be possible without their passionate support of our work in Montana.

Join Your Local Club

Without the tireless efforts of your local volunteers, board members, and employees, Mountain Biking would not be the success it is today. Thousands of hours are put into advocacy, trail building, and education across Montana each year by each of these organizations. Your support of them is critical to their success, and to the success of mountain biking as a sport.

SWMMBA, as they are affectionately called, service over 20,000 square miles of Montana’s finest backcountry riding following the I-90 corridor from Big Timber to Anaconda and south to the Idaho and Wyoming borders. SWMMBA currently has over 1,000 members and has built over 20 miles of trails in the three years since its founding. With a Board of 10 volunteers and only one part time employee, SWMMBA has accomplished a ton in a very short timeframe. We hope you’ll join us in improving our mountain biking opportunities in Southwestern Montana.

We envision a Missoula where mountain bikers are the most thoughtful, informed, and engaged group of users on the trail. We envision a progressive, forward-looking trail system that connects western Montana communities; bike-specific trails on public land; and land management that embraces mountain biking as a trusted partner and valuable presence. We envision a future in which local leaders understand and invest in trails-based recreation, and where our work will provide benefits well beyond our membership. Quite simply, we envision a Missoula made better by trails.
