The Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association (SWMMBA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that grew out of The Dirt Concern of Gallatin Valley Bike Club. Our mission is to enhance access to trails and advocate for mountain bicyclists in Southwest Montana. By engaging and educating community, working with public land managers, collaborating with other user groups and building and maintaining trails our volunteers are fulfilling that mission

and becoming reliable voice in our region. We also build, maintain and advocate for trails that you can ride your bike on. Our Board of Directors is entirely composed of dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

In the summer of 2016, SWMMBA received recognition as an International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) Chapter. As an IMBA Chapter, we're tasked with creating, enhancing, and preserving great mountain biking experiences.

SWMMBA leads volunteer trail building and maintenance days throughout the region. With so many miles of singletrack in Southwest Montana, it is critical that the bike community do its part to keep trails draining properly and free of deadfall. If so, we can enjoy them for lifetimes to come. Building new, high quality trails will be a huge asset to our growing community.
